Frequently Asked Questions

How can I buy a domain name from your company?

Once the domain is ready for purchase and transfer you will receive an email containing further instructions. We will set up a "Buy Now" page on the domain and you will be able to purchase it by visiting the domain name itself. We use third party processors for handling payments, in other words we never receive your sensitive credit card information.

Please note that we also don't take any payments over the phone.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We use PayPal, DAN and Escrow.com. The minimum transaction amount at DAN is $100 USD (it's the limit imposed by them). We are also willing to set up Escrow.com transactions only for domains that cost more than $195 USD and pay half the fee for their services as a sign of good will.

How will my domain name be delivered to me?

As soon as you make the payment, our system will send you the domain's Transfer Instructions to your PayPal account email address, asking you to open an account with the domain's own registrar (in 99% of the cases it's NameBright.com) so we could "push" the domain to you

Bear in mind that for some domains the transfer is not possible in the first 60 days of the purchase period. This rule is not our policy (i.e. something we made up when we had nothing better to do), it's an ICANN regulation, and you can read all about it here:

https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/name-holder-faqs-2012-02-25-en

In any case, the domain will be under your full control, you will be able to set the nameservers, edit DNS records, and it will have your WHOIS info, in other words, it will be 100% yours, you just won't be able to transfer it to your registrar during that initial 60-days-lock period.
You will still be able to use your current hosting company, set its DNS servers, or do with the domain whatever you want, you just won't be able to transfer it out during that period.

I don't have access to my PayPal account email address (i.e. it was just some temporary email I've opened) What should I do?

If you can't access your PayPal email address inbox, please contact us at [email protected] and after we confirm it's really you (don't worry we don't ask for your grandma's dental records or blood samples like many of the companies do ) we will resend you your Transfer Instructions to the proper email.
We are a small company with 15 employees only, and we generally already had some communication with our new clients before they purchased the domain, so don't worry, you won't lose your domain just because a support agent of ours behaved like a bot .

Do you handle payments yourself?

We use PayPal, DAN.com or Escrow.com for all of our payment processing. We never get to see your credit card or any other sensitive info, nor is it stored on our servers.

Is this a one time payment and are there any additional fees?

This is a one time payment and we will never bill you again for the same domain. Please note that we also give you one year of registration included ( unless stated otherwise in our emails) alongside with the domain. However, we do need to inform you that you will have to renew your domain after one year of registration expires, which usually costs around $9 per year, depending from the registrar (for example, NameBright charges ~ $8.50 USD for .com yearly renewal)

Do I get a full 1 year registration?

All domains we sell come with a 1 year registration included by default, unless stated otherwise.
